Directions by sea
There are no visitors berths at the club but a suitable berth may be available.
Aim to arrive in daylight at the entrance to Wardleys Creek at H W Fleetwood.
The approach to Fleetwood is well marked by a buoyed channel, but if you are early watch for a strong east flowing tide.
On reaching Fleetwood continue up river passing the channel into the marina.
You are on your own now; no more channel marks and the river can be very changeable. Check you have the latest information by calling Fleetwood Dock/marina on Ch. 12.
In general head for a large block like building ( Power Station) up river but keeping over to the west side and monitor your depth of water. As you approach the river bank before the building, with the depth decreasing, turn to port to cross the river. You will have a caravan site on the far bank, fine on the port bow. As you cross the river the Yacht Club will be in view and, turning to starboard, you will be able to follow the channel passing the entry to Wardleys Creek. Do not try to cut the corner.
There are leading marks in front of the club house. When you have identified these they will lead you into the creek.
Take a suitable vacant berth and check the situation with a club member who will endeavour to make you welcome
