Liverpool Boat Show 29th April to 8th May 2011
Wardleys has been signed up as a member club for the 2011 Liverpool boat show. This will entitle members to reduced admission among other benefits.

Senior industry figure Julian Gowing has joined the Steering Group of the Liverpool Boat Show
Julian, who has 27 years senior experience in the marine industry, has joined the Liverpool Boat Show Steering Group, which is chaired by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston. Julian, who is due to join Sunseeker Sales in Poole later this month in a new role, has worked closely with many big name brands such as Bavaria, Moody, Cranchi, Elan and Island Packet, so brings with him an important understanding of the industry which will be hugely valued by the steering group.
Local Clubs Unite to Host the first Liverpool Boat Show Regatta
Liverpool Yacht Club and a dozen of the immediately local sailing groups around the Mersey, known as the Kindred Clubs met this week to begin the planning for the inaugural Liverpool Boat Show Regatta, to be staged throughout the open period of the show next May. This ambitious project aims to draw together Clubs from throughout the region to compete in a variety of classes, both on the River Mersey and within the Liverpool Docks.

Irish Sea's sailing community has given a resounding vote of approval for the Liverpool Boat Show with more than 40 yacht and boating clubs signing up to be affiliate clubs to the Liverpool Boat Show in just one week.

Members please note that there is a new important Notice to Mariners regarding the Fleetwood channel.
When a ferry is navigating in the area between No. 11 beacon, ‘The Perch’, the ferry berth, & No. 22 buoy, all other vessels must keep clear.
More information is in the Club house.
It is also advisable to listen out on VHF Ch.11, RoRo Ships, and call if in doubt.
